It was intimate, dangerous, a wild breed of theatre, something that could fertilize minds with ideas about how lives work, how they start and stop, and how they are connected to our own, simply, complexly through the sensations we all share.
 -Julie Gillis, GayPlace

The title tells all. Rubber Rep co-Artistic Directors Matt Hislope and Josh Meyer have abstracted just the physical sensations from the life of a woman named Jamie Damon. In Biography, they attempt to re-create those sensations for an audience – just 40 people who will sit "in-the-round, support-group style."
 -Katherine Catmull, The Austin Chronicle

More like a visual poem than a play, "Biography of Physical Sensation" is certainly not like anything you've seen before or anything you'll see again -- since it will be different every night.  The show turns its audience into co-creators, and there’s no telling how people will react.
-Cate Blouke, Austin-American Statesman

What's wonderful about Rubber Repertory is that they take the concepts, the tenets, the expectations of theatre, and blow them out of the water.

 -Avimaan Syam, The Austin Chronicle

With a show of this caliber, one viewing is not necessarily enough.
